After that, a speaker makes a pause and an interpreter interprets what the speaker said. The speaker and the interpreter work as a team, i.e. they speak in turns enabling the audience to easily understand the text.
Consecutive interpretation is used during business negotiations, business trips, during speeches delivered by officials and at press conferences. This type of interpretation has its specifics. It requires a significant amount of time, which is not always available during various events.
